There are three sizes available to buy.
- Large (1.3Litres) – this holds 4-5 tumblers, and is an ideal size for a small family. It is our best selling size.
- Small 0.7 litre – this holds 2-3 tumblers, and is an ideal size for one person, or for use as a ‘whisky and water’ jug.
- Mini (25ml) A cute gift, suitable for use as a vase for snowdrops, a toothpick holder or a shot glass.
The weight of the jugs varies from jug to jug, due to the kiln manufacturing process, however, approximate weights are as follows:
- The Large – c. 1.5kg
- The Small – c. 1kg
- The Mini – c.100g
The jugs are made of vitreous porcelain.
The jugs are packed individually in brown mail order boxes, with two inners to keep the jugs in place within the box. The boxes have been drop-tested for breakage.
Please call us immediately and if possible email us a photo of the damaged jug. The jug will of course, be replaced at no charge.
Whilst every effort is made during the packing process to spot faulty jugs, unfortunately a very few get through the QC department. If your jug is faulty, please call us or email us. We will need the packer’s details, which can be found on a small round white sticker on the base of the jug, and ideally a photograph. Any faulty jug will be replaced.
We usually send out single jugs using Royal Mail 2nd Class post and multiple orders on a 48hr courier delivery service. If you require anything quicker please call to upgrade to 1st Class post or Next Day delivery.
Yes we can offer a Next Day service, but we will need your call before midday. The cost of a Next Day Royal Mail delivery for a single Gluggle Jug is £11.15. This excludes Saturday delivery which is £16.38
We can obtain quotes to ship overseas, but the purchaser will be liable as we cannot insure them.
It depends, on the amount purchased and whether the jugs are being sent to the same address. Please call us and we can discuss your requirements over the telephone.
We recommend that the jugs are washed by hand. They can be occasionally put in the dishwasher, however, frequent washing in the dishwasher may affect the glaze. If using a dishwasher, please ensure the area inside the tail is properly rinsed out before use.
All the jugs are made in the UK, and are hand crafted in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, by Wade Ceramics, with the exception of the Hand-painted UK Flags, Hand-painted Greens and Cockerels.
If you would like to know if there is a stockist in your area, please call us and we can let you know, as they are constantly evolving.
If you are not happy with the jug we will happily give you a refund once the jug is returned to us in saleable condition. Please wrap the carton and address, without writing on the box. As soon as the jug is received back we will issue a refund to your account in the method you paid for it.
